Clarence Fletcher Evans Jr., 84, of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Evans was a member of Wallers Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He loved fishing and gardening. He had worked at Livingston Elementary and Battlefield Middle School as a janitor. He retired in 1982 from Hemmingway and pilot freight.
He is survived by his son, Michael Virgil Evans, and his grandson, Caleb Michael Evans.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Gilda D. Evans, and his daughter, Kathleen Strickler Rickman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Travelers Rest Baptist Church cemetery.
