Coldest Temps So Far This Fall Arriving This Weekend

Carved pumpkins and falling leaves remind us the seasons are changing, but the big reminder will be coming this weekend.

Forecasters are expecting the coldest temperatures so far this season, with the chance for frost, and temperatures close to freezing.

Low temperatures could reach 15 degrees below normal, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs during the day Saturday and Sunday are expected to stay in the 50s, according to forecasters.

Saturday night, temperatures should drop into the 30s.

Sunday night has the potential of being even colder, with a low reaching to 33 degrees in parts of the D.C. metro area.

Monday night will be another cold one, with warmer temperatures starting to return Tuesday and we’ll reach the upper 60s Wednesday, according to the weather service.

• Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
• Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 59.
• Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 54.
• Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 33.
• Monday: Sunny, with a high near 54.
• Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36.
• Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.
