Credit Card Thief Walks Into Trap in Spotsylvania: Police
The man used a credit card belonging to a woman in an assisted living facility; nabbed at a Red Roof Inn: Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA — A man who used credit card information from a woman in an assisted living facility for more than $1,200 in unauthorized purchases was arrested last Friday after returning to his ill-gotten motel room at the Red Roof Inn in Spotsylvania, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Jacques Arnell Deas, 36, of Forest Village Apartments in Fredericksburg, was charged with multiple counts of fraud in both Stafford County and Spotsylvania County.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a caretaker for the woman contacted police and said her credit card information had been used for unauthorized charges at the motel and for other online purchases.

Police contacted the Red Roof Inn, and the desk clerk said Deas had used the card to secure several nights at the hotel, and that he had just left with a female but expected him to return later that night.
He did, and Spotsylvania police were waiting for him.
