Dance Trance Fredericksburg Moving to Eagle Village
Local dance and fitness program opening in a new stand-alone studio

Dance Trance’s doors were opened in 2012 by Tiffany Kelly and it’s been taking the city by storm. Dance Trance is the hottest dance and fitness program to hit Fredericksburg, and is moving to its own studio location in Eagle Village in October.
Currently located inside Strictly Ballroom Dance Studio at 125 Olde Greenwich Drive in Lafayette Square Shopping Center, Kelly is moving her business to 1277 Jefferson Davis Highway until construction on the permanent studio is complete. The permanent studio, also located within Eagle Village at 1477 Jefferson Davis Highway, is planned to open January 2015.
“I’m really excited to open up in a temporary space while construction is underway,” said Kelly. “The studio will be open from 5:00AM to 10:00PM Monday through Saturday to allow for a full schedule and an even wider variety classes.” The temporary studio space will be in full function while the Dance Trance Fredericksburg headquarters is being built. “It’s going to be amazing! The design of our new space embodies that edgy, urban atmosphere that Dance Trance brings.”

The new location will also be closer to the UMW campus and downtown, which is key to providing the social element the Dance Trance culture promotes. “Fitness should be fun,” said Kelly. “We’re not just giving our students a great workout, we’re giving them a unique and fun social experience.”
Tiffany Kelly is a classically trained dancer with nearly 20 years of dance, choreography and instruction experience. “When I was a dance major in college, I hoped to someday open my own studio and teach children and adults traditional dance styles,” said Kelly. However, her plan changed when she took her first Dance Trance class in Richmond a decade ago. Moving to Fredericksburg in 2012, Kelly brought her passion for this program with her and now helms her own studio - Dance Trance Fredericksburg. ”I love teaching people to dance and to find the joy in dancing. To help people by inspiring, motivating and encouraging them to live happier, healthier lifestyles and reach their fitness goals through dance,” said Kelly.

“We have been privileged to participate in and support so many events in the community over the past 2 years,” said Kelly. “Moving into our own studio will give us more space and time to coordinate and practice and become even more involved in our community.” Dance Trance Fredericksburg has coordinated flash mobs for a number of charitable events, hosted fundraisers to support local charities, and participated in the filming of the FXBG Happy video last April. In November, Dance Trance will host the 2nd Annual Last Trancer Dancing event in association with Brock’s Riverside Grill’s Bartender’s Ball, a benefit to support the Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation.
