David Edwin Justis, 24

David Edwin Justis, 24, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015.

David was the most loving and passionate person you would ever meet. He always wanted people to be happy and always could make us laugh. He was passionate about everything he put his mind to. David never walked. As soon as he could he ran everywhere, it became his passion in life. He ran track at John J. Wright and was an integral part of the Track and Cross Country programs at Spotsylvania High School and at the University of Mary Washington.

He is survived by his father and step-mother Raymond B. Justis (Diana T.); his mother, Julia I. Justis; sister Melanie Y. Justis; step-sister Elizabeth B. Buyrn; maternal grandparents Myron C. Cline (Yolanda); great-grandmother Lola Geldmacher; aunts Debbie Post (LaVon) and Nancy Klapetzky (David); uncles Bobby Justis (Helen) and Gregory Cline (Karen); and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin F. and Evelyn H. Justis; and his aunt, Susan Lee.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 9 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of David to a charity of one’s choice.
