Delivery Driver Made Sexual Comment To Child: Stafford County Sheriff

A delivery driver was arrested after he was accused of making a sexual comment to a child in Stafford County, authorities said.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A delivery driver has been arrested after he was accused of making a sexual comment to a child, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

The child, who police only identified as a girl younger than 15 years old, was not injured in the incident.

Authorities identified the driver as 35-year-old Gregory Habron of Spotsylvania. He is charged with one count of attempted indecent liberties with a child less than 15 years of age. Habron was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

On Saturday, a girl said she was walking in the 3600 block of Aquia Drive when a man in a van approached her, according to the sheriff's office. The man made a sexual comment to her before she left the area to tell an adult.

Investigators identified Habron as the suspect after canvassing the area and receiving video from community members. He was taken into custody on Monday night.

The sheriff's office said Habron is a contracted delivery driver in the Stafford County area. Authorities did not disclose which company he drove for.

According to court records, Habron was previously found guilty of indecent exposure in Orange County and the City of Fredericksburg.
