Dime Bag Pot Dealers Discovered at Middle School

Students report drug dealing to school authorities, uncovering two 13 year-old pot dealers at Waker Grant.

Three students face disciplinary actions and criminal charges after being caught with marijuana on campus. 

 School officials were the first authorities to learn of the problem. They were notified by a group of fellow students who witnessed drug deals at Walker Grant Middle School. School officials then notified police, who investigated further. 

After interviewing the female student initially discovered with marijuana, police learned that she had recently purchased marijuana on two occasions from different classmates, both male. According to police the transactions occurred on school property. All of the students involved are age 13. Police are not releasing the identity of the students, citing age.

Police transported one of the alleged schoolyard drug dealers to the regional Juvenile Detention Center for the charge of distributing marijuana on school property. Police say that he was already on probation with juvenile criminal authorities. 

The female student was released to a parent with a referral to juvenile intake authorities for the cahrge of possession of marijuana on school property. The second alleged dealer was also released to their parents with a referral to juvenile criminal intake, but for the charge of distribution of marijuana on school property.

Natatia Bledsoe, public information officer with the Fredericksburg Police Department, says that a small baggie of marijuana was confiscated by police during the investigation. The students were dealing in quantities worth no more than $10.
