Dog Easter Egg Hunt March 24 In Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg's annual Dog Easter Egg Hunt (and costume contest) is right around the corner. We have the details.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—Here's something that certainly might appeal to folks who A) like costumes, B) like Easter eggs, C) like socializing and D) like dogs. Consider that one for a couple of seconds and it probably won't take long to at least hazard a guess.

Say hello to the the annual Dog Easter Egg Hunt, put on by the Fredericksburg parks and recreation department. Held 1 p.m. March 24 at Kenmore Memorial Park, 1401 Kenmore Ave., it's also a costume contest of sorts, with owners encouraged to bring their pets dressed in their finest Easter regalia.

Participating dogs must be at least 12 weeks old, and a small area will be available for dogs weighing less than 15 pounds. Registration is $5 and is good for two canines.
