Donald Trump Sign Set on Fire in Fredericksburg: Police

Also set ablaze was an American flag, a Rep. Rob Wittman sign and a small bale of hay.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Two political signs, an American flag and a small bale of hay were set ablaze outside a woman's residence in the 200 block of Riverside Manor Boulevard Sunday night, according to Fredericksburg Police.

There are no known suspects or witnesses.

Around 10 p.m., an officer on routine patrol spotted a small bale of hay on fire in the front yards of a residence, after which he notified the resident.

She told police she had a Trump sign and a Wittman sign side by side with an American flag between them directly beside the hay bale.

Police say it appears someone ignited each sign, the flag and then the bale of hay.

Donald Trump is the Republican presidential nominee and Rob Wittman is a U.S. congressman (R-1st District) who supports Trump.

It's a twist on several incidents in Northern Virginia — and throughout the country — of people having political signs stolen from their yards.
