Drive-By Shooting Leads To Charges For 2 Men In Fredericksburg: Police
Two men were arrested after one of them fired gunshots from a moving car in Fredericksburg on Friday morning, authorities said.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A drive-by shooting in Fredericksburg led to charges for two men on Friday morning, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.
Michael Baker, 25-year-old man from Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with reckless handling of a firearm and shooting in a public place. Another man, 38-year-old Tommie Jones Jr., was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both men are being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
If convicted, Baker could face up to two years in prison. Jones could face up to five years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

Around 1 a.m. on Friday, a Fredericksburg police officer reported "two vehicles driving in tandem and acting suspiciously," the police department said in a report. The officer then heard two gunshots fired from one of the cars.
The officer turned on his lights and sirens, but the two cars left the area in opposite directions, authorities said.
Police officers eventually pulled over one driver at the Taco Bell on Emancipation Highway. The other driver stopped in Stafford County after the Falmouth Bridge, the police report said.
"Both drivers complied with officer commands and were taken into police custody without incident," the police department said.
After a search, officers said no people, buildings, or vehicles were damaged by the gunshots.
