Drive-By Shooting In Spotsylvania Leaves 1 Injured: Police
A drive-by shooting left a 22-year-old man with serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon in Spotsylvania County, authorities said.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — A man shot a victim during a drive-by shooting in Spotsylvania County on Wednesday, the sheriff's office said.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered serious injuries. Authorities said he underwent surgery on Wednesday.
Investigators identified the suspect as 20-year-old Rhashean Anderson. Anderson turned himself in to detectives on Wednesday evening.

Anderson is charged with aggravated malicious wounding. He is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
If convicted, Anderson could spend the rest of his life in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said more charges could be forthcoming.
The shooting occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday in the 7900 block of Camp Town Road. When they arrived on scene, deputies found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm, the police report said.
Deputies provided first aid until an ambulance took him to an area hospital.
"During the initial interview with the victim and witnesses, it was reported that a white Dodge Charger with two male occupants drove by the victim who was standing outside and began shooting at him," the sheriff's office said in a report. "The vehicle along with the suspects fled the area prior to law enforcement arrival."
During their investigation, detectives identified Anderson as a possible suspect. He turned himself in on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The sheriff's office said Anderson admitted to shooting the victim during a drug deal.
Authorities are still working to identify the other person who was in the car with Anderson during the shooting.
