Drunk Driver Arrested After Unique Chase In Stafford: SCSO
A drunk driver who was "swerving all over the roadway" and ignored repeated attempts to get her to stop was arrested in Stafford: SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A drunk driver who was "swerving all over the roadway" and ignored repeated attempts to get her to stop was arrested Friday in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Layhill Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Rosa Martinez Duarte, 45, of Stafford, was charged with eluding and driving under the influence.
Shortly before 7:45 p.m., police tried to pull over a vehicle being driven erratically but it kept on going, so other units soon arrived. One cruiser came up behind her while another moved in front of her in an effort to get her to slow down. Duarte eventually stopped, and police detected a strong odor of alcohol when they approached her. Sobriety tests were conducted, after which Duarte was taken to jail.
