STAFFORD, VA—An apparently drunk woman with two young children in her vehicle was arrested Friday after driving erratically and refusing police demands to stop on Telegraph Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Vanessa Lucila Krafft, 26, of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment, eluding police, possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses.
Around 12:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a reckless driver in the area of Garrisonville Road and Jefferson Davis Highway. A caller said the vehicle was repeatedly driving into the median, and that it had a front bumper that was dragging.
When police spotted it in the area of Telegraph Road and Woodstock Lane, it not only was going slowly but also had a left front tire that was completely flat. When police tried to pull it over, the driver crossed the double yellow line into the southbound lane before getting back in the correct lane.

The officer used his cruiser's public address system to tell the driver to pull over, but she kept driving on Telegraph Road, continuing to go back and forth over the double yellow line. She finally pulled into a driveway and stopped.
When the officer got out of his cruiser and approached the vehicle, he saw two young children in the back seat. Krafft didn't open the door or the window, so the officer opened the door and told her she was driving all over the road. Krafft became belligerent and refused to get out of the vehicle.

Other officers were called to the scene and helped detain Krafft, who was unsteady on her feet and had speech that was slow and delayed. Throughout the process, she threatened officers.
