Drunk Fugitive Busted After Stafford Marketplace Chase UPDATED
UPDATE: A drunk fugitive who hit several vehicles Monday at Stafford Marketplace was busted after being found trying to hide in a roof AC.

STAFFORD, VA—A drunk fugitive who hit several vehicles Monday morning at Stafford Marketplace was arrested after being found trying to hide inside a rooftop air conditioning unit, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
James Edward Baumann, Jr., 37, was arrested and held without bond on warrants out of Stafford County, Prince William County and Spotsylvania.
Shortly before 10 a.m., police went to the scene after reported traffic accidents in the area of Bank Of America at Stafford Marketplace. When they arrived, they found that the driver of a pickup hauling another pickup had crashed into 10 vehicles, four of which were occupied.

The driver—Baumann—then got out, scaled a metal pipe on a building and climbed onto the roof of a Five Guys restaurant. Police found him hiding in an air conditioning unit. Four people were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. Both trucks had been reported stolen. Police say more charges are pending.
