Edward F. Mahoney, 83, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Mahoney was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He had retired from the U.S. Air Force, and from Fairfax County. He enjoyed baseball, crossword puzzles and time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean Mahoney; children, Kevin Mahoney, Kathy Downing (Larry) and Jeff Mahoney (Cindy); five grandchildren, Tracy, Cortney, Lisa, Kacey and Kyle; and three great-grandchildren, Erika, Willah and Krista.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 30, with a rosary at 5:45 p.m. at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Quantico National Cemetery.
