Woman Found Dead, Adult Son Charged
Stafford County Sheriff's Office was responding to a noise complaint when they discovered the woman's body.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA- A man is accused of killing his mother early Friday morning, according to The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Michael Ellis, age 38, of 532 Fagan Drive, has been charged with one count of 1st Degree Murder. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
Officers arrived at 5:09 a.m. Friday to the Fagan Drive home due to calls that a man was in the backyard yelling and acting strangely.

Ellis allegedly assaulted a deputy during a brief struggle before he was taken into custody, according to a SCSO statement.
Deputies were checking the home when they found an elderly woman dead from blunt force trauma to the upper body. The victim has been identified as Ellis’s mother, Elizabeth Ellis, 67.

According to investigators, evidence at the scene suggests Christopher Ellis was responsible for his mother’s death.
“Our prayers and condolences go out to the Ellis family,” states Sheriff Charles Jett. “This tragedy is one that no family or individual should ever have to endure.”
