Escaped Donkey Reunited With Family In Stafford County

Police in Stafford received a strange call on Saturday; a donkey was wandering along a roadway. The donkey was reunited with its family.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A donkey escaped its home in Stafford County on Saturday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The animal was later reunited with its family.

Police were called to the 400 block of Brooke Road around 1:30 a.m. when a resident noticed the donkey wandering near the roadway.

A pair of deputies combined to corral the animal. "The donkey was reunited with his owner in stable condition," the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. "We hope and bray he doesn’t escape again."
