Eugene W. Trainum, 74, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Trainum was a retired pipefitter from NSWC at Dahlgren and former president of AFGE Union. He coached little league baseball, youth football and softball. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt #3.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda B. Trainum of Fredericksburg; two children Greg Trainum and Kim Trainum both of King George; two granddaughters Allison and Nicole Trainum; sisters Gladys Kennon of Mineral, Joyce Martin of Fredericksburg, Shirley Mastin of Mineral, Isabelle Branch of Newport News and Myrtle Sims of Louisa County; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special furry friends, Angel and Lucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Trainham and Alice T. Page and his siblings, Thomas Trainham, Eunice Hall, Emmett Trainham and Margaret and Anna Sims.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 5 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
