The Museum Store will welcome Washington, DC area artist, Courtney Gillen, with a trunk show of her one-of-a-kind jewelry designs. Gillen creates exquisite necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets of beach glass, freshwater pearls, and recycled sterling silver, using traditional metalsmithing techniques and real sea glass collected in Hawaii. "Most of the sea glass was collected while standing in the surf knee deep. The sea glass is a constant source of inspiration... With real sea glass no two pieces will ever be exactly the same," says Gillen.
