The Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc. (HFFI), is proud to announce the upcoming publication of Volume 13 of The Journal of Fredericksburg History, the organization’s annual compilation of preservation-related research in the Fredericksburg area. This 112-page issue of the Journal contains a foreword followed by five articles highlighting the Fredericksburg area’s recent past—the twentieth century—written by local area scholars and researchers.
Included are pieces on the writings of Kate Doggett Boggs, the history of Carl’s Ice Cream, the creation of the Architectural Review Board (ARB), the founding of Quantico, and the establishment of the Trench Hill neighborhood.
Event held at the historic Colonial Revival Gardens, Stevenson Doggett House.
