Energetic, fire-twirling singer Spogga will kick off the outdoor Rock the Boat Concert Series at The Pavilion presented by Anna Point Marina, 13721 Anna Point Lane, Spotsylvania, on June 2, 2012 at 7 p.m. The concerts will be held on the first Saturday evening of the summer months of June, July and August from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets for each concert are $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door. Tickets are now on sale to the public at Anna Point Marina, Lake Country Marine and Wake Anna Surf and Ski. They will be available at 540-895-5575 or 540-895-5900.
The first concert of the series features Spogga, a solo-act known for his powerful, soulful vocals and energy. His cover songs are original music mashups that combine beatbox looping, vocal remixing and dj scratching. He is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and fire dancer that tours globally. Spogga’s performance at Rock the Boat will include his skillful fire-dancing which is regularly featured at WaterFire, an award-winning event in Providence, RI.
