He burst onto the singer/songwriter scene in the early 90's when buzz spread through the folk clubs of the Northeast about an ex-multicultural arts teacher who was knocking them dead at open mics. Shawn Colvin invited Gilbert to be a special guest on her Fat City Tour and he took audiences across the country by storm. With several successful albums under his belt over the past 20 years, Gilbert has cultivated a loyal following and become a fan and critic favorite. Old White Men is sure to be among Gilbert's best work, featuring inspired music, heartfelt lyrics, and a touch of comedy.
