Vintage Route 1 Tour & Community Day

The Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc (HFFI) will be hosting a Vintage Route 1 Tour & Downtown Community Day in Downtown Fredericksburg on Saturday, September 8, 2012.  The day will be a celebration of the 1920s-1960s in the city of Fredericksburg.  Local history and mid-20th century architecture will be highlighted.

Events will include Streetcar Tours of Princess Anne Street (the original pathway of Route 1), a Vintage Fashion Show & Costume Contest, Classic Car Display, Oral History Collection, Children’s Activities and a Self-guided Walking Tour.  Activities will be taking place throughout town, at the Masonic Lodge of Fredericksburg (803 Princess Anne Street), inside downtown stores and at Riverfront Park.  Come dressed for your favorite decade!  All events except for the streetcar tour are free of charge and suitable for all ages.  10am – 5pm.  Visit www.hffi.org/vintage-route-1.html for more info or to get Streetcar Tour ticket information.
