Fatal Shooting in Stafford Sunday

Deputies are still working the scene of a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon on Garrisonville Road.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Wings to Go Restaurant at 435 Garrisonville Road.

“The initial investigation indicates that two vehicles were involved in the incident and individuals in those vehicles exchanged gun fire,” according to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. “One male subject, who had left his vehicle sometime during the incident, was shot and fatally wounded in the parking lot.”

Two people in the second car were also shot. The fled the scene and went to an area hospital for treatment. Deputies are still investigating the incident.
