Florida Georgia Line Supports Pinnacle Baseball
Fredericksburg 501(c)3 non-profit, Pinnacle Baseball, receives a donation from country music duo Florida Georgia Line.
Fredericksburg, VA (March 23, 2015)- Former star pitcher for Chancellor High School and 37th overall pick in the 1997 Major League Baseball draft, Chris Stowe continues to guide and mentor area youth through baseball instruction at Pinnacle Baseball Academy in Fredericksburg. The Academy has grown to include a cadre of instructors with impressive baseball resumes and currently fields seven elite travel teams from 9u-14u as well as a High School Showcase team.
Recently, Pinnacle caught the attention of the famous country duo Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, also known as Florida Georgia Line. Brian Kelley was himself a star pitcher in high school, which led to a scholarship at Florida State University. After realizing a baseball career was not in the cards, he began writing and producing music with university classmate and friend, Tyler Hubbard. Florida Georgia Line would go on to win major accolades at both the CMT Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music awards during a breakout 2013. The duo’s two albums have both spent time at the top of the charts and they are perhaps best known for their hit single “Cruise” which was ranked as the number one country song of 2013 by Billboard.
Florida Georgia Line has decided to generously donate a country music experience to help raise funds in support of Pinnacle Baseball’s local Fredericksburg community programs.
