Flu Shots Now Available at Giant Food Stores In Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Giant Food is now giving flu shots to both adults and children at its in-store pharmacies. The flu vaccines, administered by Giant pharmacists, require no appointment. Insurance companies, including Medicare, are billed directly and often do not require a co-payment.

Standard flu shots as well as high dose flu vaccines for customers over the age of 64 are available. Pharmacists can recommend and administer the appropriate immunizations based on specific patient needs.

"COVID-19 has presented challenges that we have not encountered before, and medical professionals around the world advise that getting the annual your flu shot is of vital importance to your health and wellness during this global pandemic," Paul Zvaleny, Giant's food director of pharmacy operations, said Monday in a statement.
