Spotsylvania Fourth Of July 2017: Fireworks, Stars & Stripes Spectacular

The Spotsylvania Stars & Stripes Spectacular is 3-10 p.m. Saturday in the Spotsylvania Courthouse area. Fireworks are set for 9:20 p.m.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — Get a a head start on the Fourth of July celebration a few days early Saturday at the Spotsylvania Stars & Stripes Spectacular, 3-10 p.m. in the Spotsylvania Courthouse area. We're talking about live music on four stages, kids activities, food vendors and much more. Oh, and the fireworks are scheduled for around 9:20 p.m.

UPDATED WEATHER: Saturday should be mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms.

There will be free parking behind the courthouse on Dean Ridings Lane. There will be free shuttle bus rides from Courtland High School beginning at 2:45 p.m. Parking also will be available for $5 at Courthouse Village at the corner of Brock Road and Courthouse Road.

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, Saturday will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. It's expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 90. The chance of precipitation is 50%.
