Fredericksburg Area Library Branches To Reopen By Appointment

Central Rappahannock Regional Library will open branches to the public for 45-minute appointments starting Monday, Oct. 12.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Central Rappahannock Regional Library will open branches to the public for 45-minute appointments starting Monday, Oct. 12, the library system announced Thursday.

The service, called Library Express, will allow the library system to expand branch access to the public while prioritizing customer and staff safety. Customers will be able to make appointments to browse the collection; check out materials; use computers to print, copy, scan, and fax; and check out materials.

Also on Monday, Oct. 12, customers will be able to return items to CRRL’s book drops 24 hours a day.

Masks covering face and nos, and temperature checks will be required, and staff will wear gloves when handling materials. Everyone will be asked to maintain 6 feet physical distance.

Customers will be able to schedule a visit beginning Saturday, Oct. 10 at librarypoint.org/express or by phone starting Monday, Oct. 12.

CRRL’s curbside pickup service will continue, so customers will not need to enter a branch to pick up their materials.

CRRL serves as the library system for the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford and Westmoreland and the city of Fredericksburg. The library system has 10 branches: Fredericksburg Branch, Howell Branch in Stafford County, Porter Branch in Stafford County, Fried Center Branch in Stafford County, Salem Church Branch in Spotsylvania County, Snow Branch in Spotsylvania County, Towne Centre Branch in Spotsylvania County, Cooper Branch in Westmoreland County, Montross Branch in Westmoreland County and Newton Branch in Westmoreland County.
