Fredericksburg City Public Schools Update Schedule For Jan. 29

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — All Fredericksburg City schools and facilities will be closed Thursday, Jan. 29, on Code Red due to road, parking lot, and sidewalk conditions, according to an FCPS release. Essential employees should report and 12-month employees should plan to work from home.

There will be meal distribution for students tomorrow, Jan. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at James Monroe High School, which is located at 2300 Washington Ave. in Fredericksburg. Students do not need to be present. Only a parent or adult relative needs to provide a student's name for meal pick-up.

Forecasters are continuing to monitor another winter storm that could impact Virginia and bring snow and gusty winds to the D.C. region this weekend.
