Fredericksburg Man Wanted By 3 Other Jurisdictions Flees Traffic Stop: Police
A Fredericksburg man who fled an attempted traffic stop on Saturday was wanted by three nearby jurisdictions, authorities say.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg man who was wanted by nearby jurisdictions was arrested Saturday after he attempted to flee a traffic stop, according to authorities.
A Fredericksburg police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stoop after spotting a Toyota Corolla speeding on Lafayette Boulevard near Blue and Grey Boulevard, according to the incident report. The driver of the Toyota did not stop but instead continued onto Blue and Grey Boulevard.
Eventually, the Toyota came to a stop in the 1900 block of Howard Avenue, but the driver immediately exited the car and jumped over a nearby fence, according to the incident report. Following a brief foot chase, the officer took the driver into custody.

During the arrest, the officer found that the driver, identified as 55-year-old Gregory Reynolds of Fredericksburg, had a concealed weapon in his jacket pocket, the report says. A brief investigation also revealed that Reynolds had outstanding warrants in three nearby jurisdictions.
Reynolds was charged with: carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction, eluding, speeding, and driving while suspended, third or subsequent offense, according to police. He was then turned over to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Reynolds is scheduled to be arraigned in Fredericksburg General District Court at 8:30 a.m., Jan. 27, according to court records.
The carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction, eluding, and driving while suspended are Class 1 misdemeanors and each carry a possible sentence of up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500 if Reynolds is convicted, under the Code of Virginia. The speeding charge is an unclassified infraction, for which Reynolds was issued a summons and released on his own recognizance.
Reynolds was wanted by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office for failure to pay child support, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office for petit larceny second offense, and the King George County Sheriff's Office for possession of Schedule I/II substances, DWI first offense, and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer test, according to police.
Reynolds is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Jan. 29 in Spotsylvania County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for an the failing to appear for a May 17, 2021 hearing and the outstanding charge for failing to pay child support, according to court documents.
On Feb. 3, Reynolds has a review hearing at 8:30 a.m., in Stafford General District Court for failing to appear for a hearing on May 6, 2021, and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny in connection to an Oct. 22, 2020 arrest, according court documents.
On Feb. 4, Reynolds has a hearing at 9 a.m. in King George Circuit Court on a failure to appear charge in connection to an April 29, 2021 hearing, court records say.
