Fredericksburg Man Wins $187K Prize From The Virginia Lottery
A man from Fredericksburg won $187,000 after matching the winning numbers from the Cash 5 with EZ Match game from the Virginia Lottery.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Fredericksburg man won more than $187,000 from the Virginia Lottery. Majid Hassan secured his prize from the Cash 5 with EZ Match game earlier this year.
Hassan purchased his winning ticket at the Super Giant on Celebrate Virginia Parkway in Fredericksburg. Lottery officials said he used Easy Pick to allow a computer to randomly select five numbers for him. He matched all five of the winning numbers in the March 26 drawing.
"What do I do," Hassan thought after learning he'd won. "Do I tell everyone?"

Hassan said he purchased his ticket on his way home from work.
As he claimed his prize, lottery officials asked him what it felt like to win. "“It’s unbelievable," Hassan said. "There’s no feeling like it!”
