May 5th Election Information
April 8 update: Gov. Northam has requested the General Assembly move the May 5 election to November 3. The General Assembly reconvenes on April 22 to consider this request. Absentee voting will continue as detailed below until a decision is made. See more details on the Voter Registar’s webpage.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all Fredericksburg voters may vote at home, via an absentee ballot. All voters qualify to vote at home, but all must apply by completing an application. If you want a ballot you should apply now. Do not wait. Apply online here: Voter Registrar’s webpage. If you do not have internet access, please call 540-372-1030 and request an application be mailed to you.

Absentee applications completed online are automatically submitted. All other applications may be returned via fax, email, or mail delivery. Voter Registrar’s Office contact information: email: vote@vote.fredericksburgva.gov or call: 540-372-1030.
