FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Cash is a thing of the past for one downtown Fredericksburg parking garage. The City of Fredericksburg eliminated the option of cash payment today at the Sophia Street parking garage, located at the corner of Sophia and Wolfe streets.

The parking garage, which provides parking access for patrons around the clock, will accept all major forms of credit cards, the city said. Work on the garage is planned between Sept. 3-12 while the city installs new pay stations and entrance/exit gate. Patrons will still be able to use the garage during that time.

The Sophia Street parking garage offers nearly 300 parking spaces, providing easy access to downtown Fredericksburg. It’s within walking distance to train station, visitor's center and courts. See parking fees for the Sophia Street garage online.
