FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Maxie is a beautiful 4-and-a-half-year-old brindle mixed-breed dog, who came to the Fredericksburg SPCA as a transfer from another shelter. The workers and volunteer at the Fredericksburg SPCA call her the Adventure Queen because she could go on hikes and explore with you every day of the week if you’d have her.

Maxie is an active, fun-loving gal who loves walks and runs, and even pulls her foster humans on scooters. She loves playing in water and with a hose, so she's always good for a laugh when watering the garden. She is learning so many awesome things in foster, and likes to be the center of attention in the home — so she makes sure to say hello to everyone.

She wants to be a monogamous mutt and prefers to be the only apple of your eye in the home. If you’d like to meet her, be sure to bring Cheetos and watermelon to win over her heart.
