Fredericksburg Pet Show This Weekend

It's touted to be a fun-loving affair for animal enthusiasts, and will include a squirrel that water skis.

FREDERICKBURG, VA — If you're into pets of all stripes, as well as a squirrel who water skis, the 5th Annual Fredericksburg Pet Show will be the place to be this weekend at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center at 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway.

Among the attractions: a petting zoo, K-9 police demonstrations, pony rides and a pet talent contest.

And yes, Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel will be doing its thing.

Other attractions: reading with Blue Gray Therapy Dogs; watch dogs jump through hoops, crawl through tunnels and expertly navigate obstacle courses from the Pup 'N Iron Pawlimpics Team; and see demonstrations from the Virginia Miniature Horse Club.

The show will run Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for kids 12 and under.
