Adoption of Plan for Reform to Address Racial Inequality and Race Discrimination

On Tuesday, June 23 City Council approved the response and recovery plan in response to calls for reforms to address racial inequality and race discrimination. This three phased plan guides the City Council and administration through the end of calendar year 2020/early 2021 with a proposed outcome of the adoption of a Whole of Community commitment to dialogue and action. Under this plan, City Council would focus on the theme of persistent racial inequality at its biennial retreat, and its Vision, Desired Future States, and Priorities would reflect this focus.
