Fredericksburg Restaurant Inspections: Duck Donuts, Lido Pizza, More

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Rappahannock Area Health District officials recently inspected food preparation and storage in the Fredericksburg area. Full reports can be accessed on the health department’s website.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” according to Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Violations noted below involve those issues that would typically require a reinspection if not corrected or those that are more likely than other violations to contribute to food contamination. Priority Observations are those violations such as improper cooking, reheating, cooling, or handwashing. These violations are known to cause foodborne illnesses. Uncorrected priority observations usually result in a re-inspection.

Critical violations are are food regulation violations which, if left uncorrected, are more likely than other violations to directly contribute to food contamination, illness, or environmental degradation.
