FREDERICKSBURG, VA — One location in the Fredericksburg area was cited with violations during a recent inspection from the Rappahannock Area Health District. The inspection occurred on Jan. 24.
The number of in-person inspections has decreased to start the year. Many restaurants in the region have received virtual training visits from the health department. Inspection reports noted that inspectors have used the training visits to warn about risk factors as a result of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the omicron variant.
The Fredericksburg area has also been struck by inclement weather to start the year. Snowstorms have wreaked havoc on road conditions, and one storm earlier this month knocked out power to thousands of residents and businesses across the region.
