The free Fredericksburg event will feature more than 70 local vendors, live music, food trucks and family activities.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg's annual Earth Day Festival on the Rappahannock is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline St., according to a news release from the city's Parks, Recreation & Events Department.

The Earth Day celebration is intended to help people learn ways to support the environment. Attendees will be able to try kayaking in a paddling pool, climb a rock wall, take part in goat yoga and watch live music during the festival.
