Fredericksburg Summer Restaurant Week Returns July 24 With Passport Prize Challenge

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Food lovers will have more than a week to sample local restaurants as Fredericksburg's Summer Restaurant Week returns Friday, July 24, through Sunday, Aug. 2, featuring participating eateries across the city and a passport program with prize drawings.

The annual event encourages residents and visitors to explore Fredericksburg's dining scene while supporting locally owned restaurants. According to Visit Fredericksburg, participating chefs will showcase their menus for both new and returning customers throughout the 10-day event.

Passport Program Offers Prize Entries

Diners can take part in Restaurant Week's free passport program through the Visit Fredericksburg mobile app.

After dining at a participating restaurant, guests can collect a virtual stamp by scanning the location's unique QR code in the app. Each participating restaurant has its own location-based QR code that is only available to diners at that business.

Visitors who collect stamps from five different participating restaurants will qualify for the prize drawing. Each additional stamp earned beyond the first five counts as an extra entry.

For those who forget to scan their stamp while dining or order curbside pickup or delivery, Visit Fredericksburg says receipts can be used to receive credit toward the passport program.

How To Participate

To participate digitally, diners must:

• Download the free Visit Fredericksburg app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Create a free account within the app.
• Visit participating restaurants between July 24 and Aug. 2.
• Open the Passport section in the app and scan each restaurant's QR code after dining.

QR codes are not displayed publicly and are available only at participating restaurants.

Deadline To Enter

Completed passports must be submitted by 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, 601 Caroline St.

Those unable to visit the center in person may instead email a screenshot of their completed passport from the app, along with their contact information, to info@fxbg.com for entry into the prize drawing.

Visit Fredericksburg notes that only restaurants officially participating in Restaurant Week count toward passport entries.
