Fredericksburg Regional Transit will use grant funding from two hospital foundations to continue and expand public transportation services.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg Regional Transit (FXBGO!) has received grants totaling $30,000 to support public transportation services that improve access to healthcare.
The Joe and Mary Wilson Community Benefit Fund of Mary Washington Hospital Foundation awarded $20,000, and the Stafford Hospital Community Benefit Fund provided $10,000.
These funds will allow FXBGO! to continue providing transit service in the Fredericksburg region. The agency stated that the service facilitates access to healthcare through public transportation and helps address health issues through the benefits and connections transit provides.
