Free Pizza April 2 For Everyone Due To Cavaliers Loss

Virginia's loss in the NCAA basketball tournament means everyone gets a free lunch combo at Little Caesars on April 2.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — On Monday, April 2, everyone can redeem the small consolation prize after the No. 1 seed the University of Virginia lost to the University of Maryland in Baltimore County in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. UMBC became the first No. 16 seed to upset the No. 1 overall seed in the tourney.

Thanks to that historic upset of the Cavaliers, everyone across the country can get a free lunch at Little Caesars on April 2. This is not a joke. The pizza chain said its "If Crazy Happens" promotion would happen if a No. 16 seed knocked out a No. 1 seed in the tournament either on March 15 or March 16.

Anyone who goes to a participating restaurant between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. local time on Monday, April 2, and mentions the offer will get a free lunch combo. The lunch combo consists of a four-slice, deep-dish pepperoni pizza and a Pepsi product of your choice.
