Gail Lynn Herron, 65, of Spotsylvania County went home to celebrate her birthday with Jesus Thursday, August 20, 2015 while surrounded by family and is now cancer free.
Mrs. Herron was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Herron. She was a devoted follower of Christ with a tremendous faith that left an impact on those who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy L. Powers and her husband, Tom of Edmond, Oklahoma and Tina L. Howell and her husband, Frederick Jr. of Spotsylvania; two brothers, Glen and Steven Fertig; sister Gloria Fertig; six grandchildren, Britney Howell, Jessica Wesley, Brandon Howell, Christopher Wesley, Brevon Howell and Elizabeth Powers; and her great-grandsons, Michael, Elijah and Romeo.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, August 24 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, August 25 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
