Gene McNeil Sr., 79

Gene Arthur “Fatman” McNeil Sr., 79, of Partlow passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at his residence.

He was a retired pipe fitter for Local 669 and an avid Redskins fan.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Doris I. McNeil; daughter Lajeanna Wolfrey of Ruther Glen; son Darryl McNeil of Partlow; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gene A. McNeil Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Waller’s Baptist Church cemetery.
