Graffiti Vandals Hit Several Downtown Buildings, Cash Reward Available

Several downtown businesses and homes were targeted over the weekend with a fresh round of graffiti, according to the Fredericksburg City Police.

The spray paint graffiti appears to be a tag, with some of the tags and some sort of picture, according to police spokesperson Sarah Kirkpatrick.

A person of interest identified in video surveillance from a business shows a white male wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and a black hat tagging a property.

Anyone with information about this person or other recent graffiti should contact the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122.

The Fredericksburg Police Department is offering a cash reward of up to $500 for information that will lead to an arrest for recent graffiti.

Properties targeted in the latest round of vandalism included:

• Private residence, 300 block Caroline Street
• Private residence, 300 block Caroline Street
• Jail Alley between George Street and Hanover Street
• 200 block George Street
• 800 block Princess Anne Street
• Electrical box, 600 block Princess Anne Street
