The Griffin Bookshop In Final Weeks Before Closing

The Griffin Bookshop and Coffee Bar — a favorite stop for locals and visitors to downtown Fredericksburg — will be wrapping up its retirement sale in less than three weeks.

Owner Eileen Boyd announced last month that she’ll soon be heading to Florida to spend more time with her family.

She’s been keeping Facebook followers posted on the latest sales and the fixtures still looking for a new home.

In her message to customers, Boyd noted that downtown Fredericksburg will continue to need their support.

She wrote, “Please remember to continue to shop local - the only way to keep our downtown thriving!”

We’ll keep shopping local, but The Griffin will be a dearly missed shopping experience.
