Gun Scare at Central Park Determined to Be Pellet Gun
Police responded to calls of a "man with a gun" chasing someone around the parking lot Wednesday, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

A frightening report Wednesday of an armed man chasing another man around Central Park, threatening him with a gun, turned out to be threats made with a pellet gun. Unfortunately for him, it’s still a very serious offense.
Charles Lynn, 31, of Stafford was arrested on a charge of brandishing a firearm and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond, according to Fredericksburg City Police.
The victim, a 30-year-old Spotsylvania man, was not injured.

Police responded to the area near the Verizon store in Central Park. They found the suspect in the parking lot, along with the weapon, a pellet gun, that he reportedly threw to the ground when police arrived.
