Gun On School Property Charge Levied Against Fredericksburg Man
A 58-year-old Fredericksburg man was arrested after he brought a handgun onto the campus Brooke Point High School on Monday.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Stafford County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 58-year-old Fredericksburg man after he brought a gun onto the campus Brooke Point High School and caused a disturbance there on Monday.
During Monday’s dismissal, Thomas Williams disregarded the directions of school staff, who were directing traffic in the parking lot, according to the sheriff’s office. This had occurred before and a staff member tried to speak to Williams, but he became argumentative.
As Williams walked across the parking lot, Deputy D.J. Taylor noticed that he had a handgun on his hip, according to reports. SCSO obtained arrest warrants for possession of a handgun on school property, disregarding a crossing guard, oral threats and disorderly conduct.
