Gunfire Hits Fredericksburg Building, Vehicle On Princess Anne Street: Police
Fredericksburg police said no injuries were reported after a building and an unoccupied vehicle were struck by gunfire early Tuesday.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg police are investigating a reported shots-fired incident early Tuesday and are asking the public's for help.
The Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a report of shots fired at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the 2600 block of Princess Anne Street, according a release. The department reported that a verbal altercation occurred before multiple gunshots were heard.
A building in the 2600 block of Princess Anne Street was struck by gunfire and an unoccupied vehicle in the 2600 block of Van Buren Street was also hit, police say. No injuries were reported.

Police recovered several cartridge casings at the scene, according to the department. The investigation remains ongoing.
The Fredericksburg Police Department is asking anyone with security camera footage from 1:45 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on April 7 to contact investigators. Police also want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the gunfire.
