Halloween 5K, Monster Mile Planned This Weekend In North Stafford

The fourth annual event will be held at Embrey Mill in North Stafford, and this year's prizes include cash, trophies, best costume and more.

NORTH STAFFORD, VA — Witches, ghosts and goblins will come out to get their run on this weekend for the fourth annual Halloween 5K and Monster Mile, planned this Saturday at Embrey Mill.

This year's event kicks off at 6:30 a.m. at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center. Participants are challenged to conquer “Horror Hill” at Embrey Mill, and this year’s prizes include cash, trophies, and best costume and participant medals for all Monster Mile runners.

Advance registration cost for the run is $30 per adult. In-person registration will be available at an increased fee of $35. The registration fee for age 12 and under is $20 in advance or $22 at the event.

Proceeds from this year's run will go toward funding two scholarships for Stafford County Public Schools.

Embrey Mill is an 831-acre planned community located off I-95 in North Stafford.
